There was a student who was brilliant.
But no matter how hard he tried, someone else always placed first.
He grew bitter.
āWhy am I never the best?ā he asked his teacher.
The teacher handed him a candle and lit another beside it.
āWhich one is more important?ā she asked.
āThey are both giving light,ā he replied.
The teacher smiled.
āExactly.ā
š The world is not saved by rankings. It is saved by people who shine.
From then on, he stopped chasing positionand started chasing purpose.
And strangelyā¦his light became brighter than ever.
Lesson:You are not behind. You are becoming.
