Singaporean Prime Minister Lawrence Wong is set to visit the Philippines on June 4-5, 2025, marking his first official trip to the country and aiming to bolster bilateral ties.

🤝 Key Highlights of the Visit

• Bilateral Talks: President Marcos and Prime Minister Wong are scheduled to hold bilateral discussions on June 4. The agenda includes strengthening Philippines-Singapore relations and exploring opportunities for deeper cooperation across various sectors such as health, climate change mitigation, and civil service collaboration. 

• Regional Stability: The two leaders are expected to exchange views on key political and economic developments in the region, reaffirming their shared commitment to regional stability and prosperity. 

• Economic Ties: Singapore was the Philippines' eighth-largest trading partner in 2024, reflecting robust economic ties between the two nations. 

• People-to-People Linkages: Approximately 220,000 Filipinos currently reside in Singapore, further strengthening the people-to-people connections between the two countries. 

Prime Minister Wong's visit also coincides with the recent celebration of the 56th anniversary of Philippines-Singapore diplomatic relations, highlighting the enduring partnership between the two nations. 

This visit is anticipated to pave the way for enhanced collaboration and mutual growth, reinforcing the strong and longstanding partnership between Singapore and the Philippines.
