Dakilang Pinoy Award in UAE

Filipino Institute's Founder/CEO Mr. Gabriel John Rimando has been recently nominated for "Dakilang Pinoy Awards" that are being awarded to exemplary Filipinos in Abu Dhabi.

According to the organizers, the award is given to Filipinos who have made significant contributions to nation-building, humanity, solidarity, and patriotism, among other things.

"Mr. Rimando, through Filipino Institute, has already produced more than 200,000 graduates in the Middle East, specifically in UAE, Bahrain, and Qatar where the business is present." - 𝓣𝓱𝓮 𝓖𝓵𝓸𝓫𝓪𝓵 𝓕𝓲𝓵𝓲𝓹𝓲𝓷𝓸 𝓜𝓪𝓰𝓪𝔃𝓲𝓷𝓮.

Who is Mr. Rimando?

Gabriel John Rimando was born in the Philippines in 1983. He, too, grew up in a typical Filipino environment and with a typical Filipino family. In the average Filipino family, one of the parents usually travels abroad in search of greener pastures for the family's betterment out of necessity. Gabriel John Rimando's mother was the one who traveled to the UAE. So he grew up with his father and two siblings: a year older sister and a five-year younger brother. Gabriel's childhood was difficult because his family faced numerous hardships, including financial, environmental, and a lack of very basic amenities such as electricity.

“A leader is like a gardener, we cannot predict if there will be storm to destroy our beloved plants, if there are animals who will eat our vegetables or there are outside forces who will destroy on what you have been building. Leadership is the result of unending cultivation. Calamity and problems will always come. A leader should always be prepared to face whatever the result and to give always the full effort.” CEO Mr. Gabriel John Rimando - The Filipino Institute
